From the contemporary all-white styling to the fun sparkler send off, everything about Carol and Jamie’s Santorini destination wedding showed off their unique couple style. It really was a joy to welcome the happy couple and their guests to Le Ciel in September.
Destination wedding dress inspiration
Our gorgeous bride Carol started the day in style, toasting her big day while taking in Le Ciel’s breath-taking views. We loved Carol’s glamorous take on modern bridal style. She looked utterly show-stopping in her sweetheart neckline wedding dress, complete with off-the-shoulder straps and a dramatic fishtail skirt. The gown featured intricate embroidery and embellishment, which meant it dazzled in the Santorini sunshine. Carol added a pair of statement drop earrings and wore her dark hair in loose Hollywood-style waves.
Jamie dressed perfectly for a sunny destination wedding in a light-coloured linen suit and cream loafers, while the couple’s bridesmaids looked fantastic in floor-length dusky pink one-shouldered gowns.
The alfresco wedding ceremony
With a view this incredible Carol and Jamie let the clifftop setting of Le Ciel shine, with a minimalist approach to dressing the ceremony space. The top of the aisle was framed with draped fabric and a corner floral display of gypsophila and white roses. Smaller matching floral displays lined the aisle and a sign in elegant calligraphy welcomed guests. As everyone took their seats they were entertained by a violinist, who helped set the scene for a truly romantic ceremony.
Carol and Jamie exchanged vows on Le Ciel’s open-air terrace, surrounded by sweeping views of the sparkling Aegean Sea and Santorini’s spectacular coastline.
The all-white reception styling
Sticking with the pared-back elegance of the ceremony styling, the couple opted for an all-white look for the reception. Le Ciel’s light and airy restaurant space was decorated with the same rose and gypsophila arrangements that lined the aisle. Here, tables were set with elevated floral displays, crisp white linen and chic favours tucked inside miniature linen drawstring bags. The overall look was fresh, modern and effortlessly stylish.
The Santorini wedding photos
When it comes to wedding photos, nowhere delivers the dramatic backdrop quite like Santorini. The couple made the most of the island’s unique scenery with their photographer, Nathan Wyatt, capturing stunning wedding photos celebrating all Santorini has to offer. From traditional whitewash buildings to clifftop sunsets, these couple photos are pure destination wedding magic.
The fun evening celebration
Rounding off their big day in style, Carol and Jamie went all out with a memorable first dance on the open-air terrace. Followed by a colourful fireworks display which lit up the Santorini night sky, and a sweet sparkler send off, this really was a wedding that wowed.
